So what it means is that the muftis in Deoband have stood up and said, “Ahem, this “fatwa” is not really what it pretends to be because the person issuing it is not qualified or appointed to do so.”

That’s great!

I hope more people and more Muslims would know this and not let themselves be mislead by “leaders” who’ve got their facts wrong in the first place.
