vote for development
The elections are once again right on the clock.kargil boiling with political gimmicks.Doors are once again knocked for vote, emotionally blackmailing the people on the name of ISK and IKMT.They know we are very much sympathetic and commited to faith and our ideology. But how many times you vote just on the basis of your belongingness to ISK or IKMT.It is a question for the youth to ask for themselves. What we are witnessing! Weathered govt buildings,a dream of a tunnel to Zojila,no business opportunity, tourism industry totally shattered,no airlines,a 1999 kargil war.Simply speaking a totally frustatd youth. The youth is much awaited to see some glimpses of development. The reason is not that we have no resources or manpower.Allah(s.w.t) has endowed us with much of natural resources. But the reason is that we are in a state of hibernation. We take our development for granted,we just wait for someone to awaken us.There will be no one to awaken us,we have to woke up and knock the doors of New Delhi and the office of Mr CM at regular intervals. But what we witness!.An election rally !Stating us as the Soldiers without gun or the most hardworking and honest in India. They come befool and go.Honestly speaking both centre govt and state govt takes our developmnt for granted. This i will prove with the help of some facts. We sent two candidates to the State assembly on the ticket of National Confrence. We expected that one of them will get a berth in the ministry and we will get a say in the buiseness of state, but they were put to rest at the MLA hostel or CIrcuit houses. If a rail link between Leh and Himachal Pradesh(Bilaspur) is important from the point of stratagical importance.Don't they think that the tunnel to Zojila is more important. If during the war big aircrafts can land on kargil airport then why not a regular AN-32 courier service for the sake of convenience of so called Soldiers without gun is possible. When the bargaining of ladakh parliamentary seat was going on between N.C and Congress, their top brass was busy deciding our candidate. At that time hundreds of passangers mostly patients, students and proffesionals were stranded at Srinagar and Jammu. The AN 32 courier service which was run by the Air Force with the objective of connecting kargil with Srinagar and jammu was at the mercy of mood of the Air Force Pilots. The students of Jawar Novodiya Vidyala and some old aged patients camping at Kargil House Jammu were mentally tortured with the regular cancellation of flights. The Air Force Pilots making excuses of technical faults. The top brass of coalition was conveyed about the technical redtapism of the Air Force Authorities but they were busy making sure the ladakh parliamentary seat to their kitty and never intervened into the matter with a full hearted approach.
Time and again the IKMT and Isk had tried to monopolise the politcs of kargil and in that course the candidate from Leh easily sail across to the parliament and our dreams of a member of parliament from among us are crushed to death by egostic and rigid politicians..It just remains a question of General Knowledge for our chilren.Who is the Hon'ble M.P? Even the answer to this question gets tough as time passes by and the story fades as they never visit to enquire about our problems, except for the election time.
And now as we are brassed off by the false promises of political parties,we should understand this. Some bold steps should be taken by ISK and IKMT so that the mandate of people of Kargil gets its due share of respect, development and decision making in the business of state.
This time three candidates are in fray from kargil.we know that if we vote on the basis of our belongingness to IKMT or ISK the votes will get distributed. In that course we know what the results will be. SO Lets this time make sure that we get duly represented in Parliament.Lets make sure that some wind of development flows from New Delhi to Kargil.Lets vote! Lets Vote for development! Lets vote for prosperity.Lets understand the policy of divide and rule.Lets understand that united we stand divided we fall.Lets march towards the light from the darkness of pity politcs .
Wake up Youth and mould the public opinion. It's possible in politics. As Barack Obama said, "If necessity is the mother of invention then Politics is the father"

Dear Ravi,

Thank you for your comment and your interest in my identity. I am, unfortunately, exactly who I am, no more, no less. And there is hardly anything that I write that is not in the public domain.

And it is, reasonably easy, in this day and age of google searches, to find out more about me and what I do.

I assure you, my life holds no exciting secrets, and is quite boring and normal, like that of almost everyone I know.

best,

Shuddha

Shuddhabrata Sengupta is a well-known name and personality - if you think this is a fake identity, I am really sorry for you!
