The distinction (which you do not develop further) you make between Bharat, India and Hindustan is interesting. I think India evokes a sense of worry while bharat and hindustan create a feeling of frustration…….in the case of pink chadi controversy, this phenomena has been reversed. It wonder where your categories Bharat, India and hindustan fit in the controversy over legalising gay sex in india…..
