World of Warcraft – What You Need to Know About Skinning

The skinning profession can be very effective in World of Warcraft, and here is what you need to know about how it works.

There are many different ways in the popular MMORPG for you to make WoW gold from professions, one of which is through skinning. This specific profession doesn’t work exactly like the others in that you don’t need to gather certain nodes, as they are made where you hunt down beasts in the game.

One of the primary uses for skinning is for it to be used for Leatherworking. You will find that the ingredients needed in the game’s latest expansion, Shadowlands, is actually shorter than it was before. You will also find that it is a great way for you to make money without having to buy WoW gold since skinning corpses is the equivalent of finding money on the ground.

How to Make Gold via Skinning

As we mentioned earlier, Leatherworking plays a big part in the profession. However, to get some of the best WoW items you are going to need a hell of a lot of it. With such a trait being in the game an opportunity is created for those in the professions of skinning. There will be a lot of players that don’t have the patience to farm it themselves and will head over to the Auction House to buy different kinds of leather. So needless to say, the market is there for those in the skinning business.

What Equipment to Use

There are World of Warcraft items that you probably already have that can effectively be used for skinning. However, it is worth mentioning that the Shadowlands Gathering is useful, working as a Glove Enchant that can increase not only your gathering speed for skinning but also for mining and herbalism too. What’s also good about this is that it doesn’t cost much to get the materials to make them, and there are a lot of enchanters that can help make them for skill too.

Where to Level up Skinning

Leveling up skinning in Shadowlands is a bit of a broad statement, in the sense that you can do it pretty much anywhere that has beasts that you can kill and skill. You won’t find anything that will actually tell you whether or not the beast can be skinned, so it will be a case of trial and error in that respect. Your best bet is to simply find a large group of beasts that you can skin and just go ahead and kill them for skinning.

Skinning World Quests in Shadowlands

The four Covenant zones have a skinning world quest for you to do. You will need to have reached level 25 in Shadowlands Skinning skill to do the quests, and you will receive rewards such as +1 Skinning, 125 reputations with your local faction, and overall experience. For those who are playing the normal storyline, these quests won’t be available until you have reached level 60.

There is a way around it if you are leveling via Threads of Fate with the relevant level of skill up to 50, after which you can choose your covenant to do the quest.

So you now have a better idea of how the skinning profession works in World of Warcraft. Whilst many will opt to try and find ways of getting cheap WoW gold, but the skinning profession is a very effective way to get gold yourself.
